A total of 146 youth have completed vocational training under VETA in the Arusha region, a move that opens doors for employment opportunities in the country’s construction sector. The training will be instrumental in fostering employability and enterprise development for 960 youth in the country.
The event was graced by the Arusha Regional Commissioner, Hon. John Mongella, who commended KCB Bank for investing in youth, saying it is key to achieving existing national development plans, including Vision 2025.
The project was implemented under a 50/50 partnership between the KCB Foundation and the Germany Development Corporation (GIZ) worth TZS 2.2 billion. This project was implemented in five regions, including Zanzibar Islands.
Speaking during the graduation ceremony in Arusha, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Christine Manyenye, representing the Managing Director, said "We are thrilled with the results of this project as 97 percent of beneficiaries have completed their courses. Today, we are rewarding them with certificates and toolkits to support them in enterprise development to unlock their full potential."
Here at KCB Bank Tanzania, we believe that investing in the youth is an investment in the future of our country, and we are committed to supporting initiatives that provide young people with the tools they need to succeed.
We are helping to bridge the skills gap and create a more skilled and employable workforce. This, in turn, contributes to the development of our country's economy and helps to build a brighter future for all Tanzanians.
